Crystal Palace are reportedly eyeing a move for Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos this summer, following the Brazilian's successful season in France, Alan Nixon has revealed.
The Eagles will be making their debut in the Europa League next term, thanks to a memorable FA Cup victory over Manchester City which marked the first ever piece of silverware in their history. Boss Oliver Glasner is determined to ensure his squad has the required depth to compete on multiple fronts, and it is expected to be a busy summer for the South London club as a result.
Palace Interested in Santos
The midfielder has been on loan with Strasbourg
According to Nixon, via his Patreon, Crystal Palace are eager to sign Santos this summer in a £20 million deal with Chelsea prepared to cash in on the 21-year-old.
Since arriving at Stamford Bridge from Vasco da Gama in 2023, Santos has yet to make a senior appearance for the Blues. Instead, he has spent his time on loan first at Nottingham Forest, then with Strasbourg in Ligue 1. His stint with the Tricky Trees was largely forgettable, though he found his feet in France, racking up 11 goals and four assists in 34 outings across all competitions.
Dubbed a "superstar", Santos could be poised for a second chance in the Premier League and his creative playstyle could lend him well in Glasner's set-up at Selhurst Park.

Per Nixon, it is thought that Crystal Palace would prefer to structure a straight cash deal for Santos' signature, though an exchange transfer with Marc Guehi heading the other way has not been ruled out either.
Meanwhile, Palace face a tough battle to keep their star players this summer. The likes of Guehi and Adam Wharton, alongside FA Cup final match winner Eberechi Eze, have all been linked with exits but the prospect of playing in the Europa League next season should enable the Eagles to demand significant fees, if not keep their assets entirely.
