"It’s been an exciting few years playing in this stadium and playing for this club, but I’ve enjoyed it and I’ll take a lot of good memories with me," Eriksen told TNT's Jules Breach.
"We did it today for the fans, we had a tough season, but I’m going to wish them all the best. It’s an incredible stadium, an incredible club. They will be back on top at some point, for sure."
Skipper Bruno Fernandes handed the ball and penalty-taking duty to Eriksen, when the referee pointed to the spot with little under five minutes of normal-time remaining, after Amad was brought down by Ian Maatsen in the box.
"I think that’s also why Bruno gave me a pen, as a nice farewell," continued our no.14.
"Yeah, I think so [a surprise to take the penalty]. I think definitely with the goal and the last half an hour here in the stadium."
