Man United are at risk of losing a number of key players after suffering a “huge” blow as a result of their failure to qualify for the Champions League.
Mick Brown, who worked at Old Trafford for over a decade during the club’s most successful period and remains very well-connected there, exclusively told Football Insider that United will be forced to cash in on first-team players to raise funds.
The likes of Rasmus Hojlund, Antony and Marcus Rashford will all be allowed to leave the club should appropriate offers arrive when the window opens.
This comes after Football Insider revealed on 24 May that Bruno Fernandes could lead six Man United departures this summer if the club need to raise funds.
Alongside Fernandes, the likes of Joshua Zirkzee, Alejandro Garnacho, Casemiro and Andre Onana have also been linked with permanent exits.
Meanwhile, Brown told Football Insider that Hojlund is unlikely to stay at Man United and could leave to free up space in the squad for a replacement.

Man United to sell first-team stars after Matheus Cunha latest
Football Insider revealed on 24 May that Man United are preparing to sign more players following the arrival of Wolves star Matheus Cunha.
Brown, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment and also worked for the likes of West Ham, Tottenham and Aston Villa, has insisted that players will now have to be sold to balance out any incoming deals.
“*It’s hard to know whether they’ve got any money or not,*” he told Football Insider.
“One minute they’re talking about running out of money and having to cut costs, and the next they’re spending £60million on a new player.
“They want to add more players too, who suit Amorim’s squad better than the current crop.
“From what I hear, they’re going to look to sell players to bring in those funds.
“Antony has been in good form during his loan in Spain, they want to get a fee back for him.
“Then they’ll look at the likes of Hojlund, Rashford and other senior players who are no longer needed but they feel they can get decent money for.
“If they want to spend on all these new players, it looks like they’ll have to sell first.
“Especially after losing in the Europa League final because missing out on Champions League football will be a huge blow financially.”

Alejandro Garnacho tipped to quit Old Trafford
Alongside a number of first-team stars at Old Trafford, Garnacho’s future has been a hot topic of conversation ahead of the transfer window.
Football Insider revealed on 24 May that Garnacho could quit Man United after he was left unhappy with his lack of playing time in the Europa League final.
The Argentina international played just 20 minutes in the 1-0 defeat after starting the game on the bench and feels he has been treated unfairly by Amorim.
Meanwhile, Brown told Football Insider in February that Garnacho could quit Man United after growing unhappy with his playing time.
