Everton ended the season with a 1-0 win against Newcastle United at St James’ Park.
Carlos Alcaraz scored the winning goal on Tyneside, and many Everton fans have now urged David Moyes to sign him on a permanent deal.
Alcaraz was Moyes’ only addition in January and has proved to be a promising addition with plenty of room to develop under the Scotsman, if indeed he stays.
Despite just one signing, the 62-year-old has completely transformed the Toffees since arriving at the turn of the year.
They’ve gone from a team battling relegation to a comfortable mid-table finish, taking their points tally to 48 today.
That said, Roy Keane has now given one word to describe Everton’s season.

Roy Keane’s one word to describe Everton’s season
Everton started the season in dire form and looked like they were headed for the drop under Sean Dyche’s stewardship.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
The goals had completely dried up, and even defensively, they were struggling, which was uncharacteristic and very worrying.
But Moyes tore that script up, though, and based on his form, the Toffees would’ve finished in ninth place, level with Newcastle United, who have just qualified for the Champions League.

With that said, it makes it very difficult to judge the season, but when asked on Sky Sports’ Instagram to describe it in one word, Roy Keane said: “Roller coaster.”
He then followed up and added: “Dychey leaving, David Moyes coming in and doing well.”
Objected achieved
Reflecting back on the season, it’s been a tale of two halves, but ultimately, the main goal of safety has been achieved.
It was all about getting through the PSR issues and making sure the Hill Dickinson Stadium was a Premier League ground, and they’ve done that.
Indeed, the expectations will be much higher next year, with the Friedkin Group expected to spend big on Moyes’ squad.
Newly-appointed CEO Angus Kinnear has said it’ll be an unprecedented summer window for the Toffees, so exciting times are ahead.
A telling couple of months awaits the Merseysiders.
