Liverpool's move for Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez could take a huge step forward in the coming days, according to David Ornstein - with the Reds set to 'ramp up' their efforts to sign him to bolster their squad.
The Hungarian has been in flying form for the Cherries since his move at the start of last season, especially this time around with some energetic displays for the south coast club in the Premier League - and that has seen other clubs take him onto their radars as left-back upgrades become needed for some.

Title winners Liverpool are one of those clubs. Andy Robertson has somewhat declined this season, not showing that he can play at the level that he is used to playing at, whilst Kostas Tsimikas has been linked with a move to Leeds United amongst others, as Arne Slot looks to bring in a new left-back.

Kerkez is one of their targets, and rumours have intensified for a while. But Ornstein has claimed that the Reds will look to up the ante in the coming days as their season drew to an end with a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace, followed by an emotional trophy lift at Anfield.
Kerkez in particular is one player that Slot will look to add to his squad alongside Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong, with the former edging closer to a move and the latter having had medical tests prior to a prospective Merseyside move. The journalist said on NBC Sports:
"Milos Kerkez of Bournemouth, the left-back, has been heavily linked with Liverpool. I think we could see that ramp up in the coming days."
Liverpool's Premier League trophy win this season was just their second in 30 years, and their first with fans inside the ground in that period, having seen their previous top-flight triumph somewhat subdued by COVID-19 measures.
But that success will tempt the world's best to move to Anfield, and if Kerkez can continue the development he's shown at Bournemouth in the Premier League, he would be the ideal signing for a young, hungry squad that Slot has crafted to walk the league on his own with ease.
