Wolves are looking to enjoy a productive summer – but a move for Yuri Alberto could now be complicated.
Wolves will be a Premier League club again next season after surviving comfortably in the end.
Vitor Pereira was Wolves’ saviour, and many feel he is the man to bring the good times back to Molineux after a few years of struggle.
Pereira was recently named among the nominees for Premier League manager of the season, indicating what a brilliant job he’s done at Wolves.
But a big summer awaits Wolves, who stand to lose several experienced players.
It will be vital for the club to respond to any departures, and one player Wolves like is Yuri Alberto.
Alberto was first linked with Wolves midway through last season, but has recently come back into the picture.
But there has now been a development which may come as a blow to Pereira.

Brazilian outlet Trivela has made some interesting claims about Alberto, amid the interest from Wolves.
Previously, it had been suggested that Wolves were in the strongest position to land Alberto. And it was even reported Corinthians were expecting a bid from Wolves for Alberto.
But it appears a move could now be complicated.
Trivela are claiming Alberto actually now wants to remain at Corinthians. That is despite his representatives still being keen to entertain interest from other clubs.
Alberto is said to feel as though staying put will ultimately boost his chances of making Brazil’s World Cup squad.

It’s stated he knows he was on Brazil’s radar last year when he was in good form in the second half of the season.
Alberto’s form has continued so far this season, and the player is seemingly not keen to take a risk by changing clubs this summer. He is said to have informed the Corinthians board of his stance.
But there is still slight hope for Wolves, because his agents feel that him not moving in the next window would be like ‘wasting a winning ticket’.
They’re keen to facilitate his exit, and take advantage of his higher market value.

If it’s true that Alberto is keen to stay at Corinthians then that’s frustrating for Wolves.
Seemingly there’s hope because of the stance his agents have taken.
But we heard Pereira talk about the kind of players he wants to bring to Wolves this summer. He said: “
It’s important to bring players that want to come, that want to live in Wolverhampton, that want to play in the best league of the world and that are family players, with the character and with the personality to work in a simple, but beautiful, city.

“The nature is beautiful and the competition, in my opinions, is the best in the world. It means that we must go for players that really want to come as much as me.”
The suggestion is that Alberto doesn’t particularly want to come, and so, Wolves must move on from him once they get that information 100% confirmed.
