The electric fan atmosphere in the UAE seems to have reignited his desire to return to Europe.
"I want to play in the EuroLeague, I want it for this atmosphere," Valanciunas said via SPORT24. "I want to play basketball, I want to enjoy this atmosphere."
Now 33 years old, Valanciunas has previously expressed his intention to finish his career in Europe, ideally back home in Lithuania.
Before being selected with the 5th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, he played for Rytas Vilnius.
In his lone EuroLeague season (2010–11), he averaged 7.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.
