Liverpool fans partied into the night as they watched their side become Premier League champions on Sunday. Reds fans rejoiced as they filled the streets of Liverpool celebrating their side lifting the trophy for the first time in front of fans in more then 30 years.

It was an emotional and electric night for thousands as people from Liverpool and across the globe joined in the celebrations.

Red smoke filled the air as the fans welcomed the team bus to Anfield ahead of kick off, with people seen singing and chanting hours before the game against Crystal Palace kicked off at 4pm.

Despite the lethargic 1-1 draw with the south London side, Reds across Merseyside celebrated the second league title this decade as the city erupted into a sea of red.

Fans were seen hanging off street signs and standing on top of walls outside Anfield as red plumes of smoke were seen for miles. It was a day fans had dreamt of for the last 35 years.

Tears and smiles were seen across the crowd who were lucky enough to watch Virgil van Dijk lift the side's 20th league title, with an emotional You'll Never Walk Alone breaking out while the players lined up in front of the Kop after the match.

Just outside the ground there were floods of fans waiting eagerly for their side to be crowned champions, with 50,000 supporters leaving Anfield and continuing the celebrations into the night after the game.

A few miles away, fans of all ages were partying in Liverpool city centre, with a group of supporters seen climbing street signs on Slater Street, with others surrounding them singing and dancing.

In one unusual site, Linda Pizzuti was spotted serving food and drinks at the ground. The wife of the Reds' principal owner John Henry was at the stadium serving fans pies and beers.

Fans were spotted sprinting into nearby bars as Virgil van Dijk got his hands on the trophy in front of the crowds, before flares were set off in their dozens throughout the city centre streets.

When the heavens opened, it far from deterred the jubilant supporters who continued the electric atmosphere into the night.
