As a result, the Lakers are reportedly eyeing former Golden State Warriors guard De'Anthony Melton as a potential addition to their roster. NBA insider Jovan Buha of The Athletic mentioned Melton as a possible target for the Lakers, suggesting that he could be signed on a veteran minimum contract.
"I really like Melton as a flyer," Buha stated. "I think, at this point, he's gonna be a vet-minimum guy... I think he's a guy who, for a vet minimum contract, you could do a lot worse."
