Matheus Cunha latest
Amid a shell-shocking Europa League Final defeat, some wondered whether Manchester United would swiftly announce a deal to sign Matheus Cunha, for a positive PR spin.
Negotiations are not quite that far along, with Manchester United yet to formalise an agreement with Wolves.
Journalist Ben Jacobs reports via X, that negotiations are set to begin between clubs.
He also adds that Cunha has agreed a five-year contract with Manchester United, where he is expected to get the number 10 shirt.

Matheus Cunha shirt number could take a while
Let’s say Manchester United agree and announce a deal to sign Matheus Cunha next week. Do not expect an instant verdict over his squad number.
This will only be announced in early July when Manchester United release the new kit, with new name and number printing for fans.
And notably, there is a sensitive situation to resolve with the club’s current number 10, Marcus Rashford.
While Rashford has been sent out on loan and is expected to be sold, and his shirt technically vacant, United will want to treat the long-serving academy star courteously.
United would prefer to conclude a sale for Rashford over the next month, freeing up his shirt for Cunha, making the transition a little less dramatic.
