The Minnesota Vikings are going into the 2025 season with a completely different looking offense. Going from Sam Darnold to JJ McCarthy will be an adjustment, but the front office feels like the 22-year-old is ready to lead their franchise.

However, their franchise is currently facing some pretty significant backlash after a recent statement.

A statement from the Vikings didn’t go as planned:

Today marks five years since the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis. We pause to reflect on the pain, the change, and the call for justice that began here and still echoes today. Our commitment to equality will never change.
