MINNEAPOLIS, MN (Dakota News Now) - The Minnesota Timberwolves emphatically got themselves back into the Western Conference Finals with one of the biggest beatdowns in NBA Playoff history, a 143-101 Game Three victory over Oklahoma City in front of an electric home crowd at Target Center.
It was Minnesota’s most complete game of the postseason seeing them shoot a blistering 57 percent from the field against the best defensive team in the NBA
And to show just how dominant it was reserve guard Terrance Shannon Jr, who had scored just six points in only six of the Wolves 12 playoff games this year, outscored NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander 15 points to 14 points!
“It was just a normal feeling because I always work, I always stay ready, and just be the best teammate I can be during the meantime. When my name called I do what I do.” Shannon said of seeing his number called early in Game Three.
“This is just the first step into the right direction. We got a lot more basketball to play, a lot more hard work to accomplish so I think we’re all ready to do that.“ Timberwolves Forward Naz Reid said.
That work realistically will include winning Game Four tomorrow night at Target Center to even the series at two games apiece. Tip time is scheduled for just after 7:30 PM.
