The historic Philadelphia 76ers have time to ponder what they'll do with the No. 3 pick. With a Big 3 (Joel Embiid, Paul George and Tyrese Maxey) already in place, drafting a young prospect could have multiple outcomes.
For one, it could potentially hinder a youngster's growth with the presence of the stars. However, they could also serve as a mentor for the potential rookie they'll draft with the pick.
With the way their team is formed, there have been rumors that the organization could make a trade with the pick. The Sixers are looking to contend with their star trio. Having another young player aside from Jared McCain may not fit their timeline, as they might prefer someone who can make an immediate impact.

As the 2025 NBA Draft is nearing, NBA insider Jake Fischer reported that Philly could attract significant interest in trading for the No. 3 pick. Fischer wrote that the organization will likely listen to various teams that could make a deal with the Sixers.
However, there's a chance the Sixers won't strike a deal to give up the pick.
"So the prospect of Morey, Philadelphia's president of basketball operations, selecting either — or maybe even Texas guard Tre Johnson over Bailey and Edgecombe — should generate significant inbound trade interest in that draft slot," Fischer wrote.
"The Sixers are expected to at least listen to trade-down opportunities ... but likewise stress that they are not expected to trade out of the pick entirely."
The Sixers have been intelligent when it comes to drafting throughout the league's history. They've drafted generational players like Embiid, Allen Iverson and Ben Simmons. Last year, they had luck on their side when they drafted McCain with the 16th pick.
This year, the organization is leaning on keeping and using their pick to potentially draft a top prospect.
