Why Levi Colwill was absolutely fuming with Chelsea teammate before scoring winning goal vs Nottingham Forest -…

Chelsea defender Levi Colwill was delighted after his side’s 1-0 win against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

It was Colwill who scored Chelsea‘s winning goal, which saw them earn a spot in next season’s Champions League.

Chelsea had a strategy to beat Forest and it worked. However, there was still one moment during the game where Colwill was far from happy.

It involved teammate Robert Sanchez, who also provoked a reaction from Enzo Maresca.

Levi Colwill fumes at Robert Sanchez after poor kick

Chelsea have been linked with Gabriel Brazao and other goalkeepers, with Sanchez’s future at the club not certain.

The Spaniard has made some high-profile mistakes this season and made a poor kick early on in the Blues’ victory over Forest.

It resulted in an angry reaction from both Colwill and Maresca, which was spotted by BBC Sport journalist Nizaar Kinsella.

Nothing came from it, though, and Chelsea eventually went on to win the game after Colwill’s tap-in in the 50th minute.

Former Premier League goalkeeper Paul Robinson discussed Colwill’s goal while commentating on the match, claiming that it was one of the easiest chances that the England international will ever get.

Chelsea supporters should not be too hard on Sanchez. The team got the job done, which is the most important thing, while the 27-year-old played well overall.

Robert Sanchez’s numbers vs Nottingham Forest

Sanchez recovered from that nervous kick and put in a really confident performance at the City Ground.

He finished the game with five high claims to his name, while the ex-Brighton & Hove Albion player also managed to make a couple of saves.

Overall, Sanchez has finished this campaign quite strongly and can take a breather now. Chelsea have another huge match coming up, the Conference League final, but Filip Jorgensen is set to start that.

Jorgensen has been Chelsea’s cup keeper this term and that is not going to change in Poland on Wednesday.
