How to watch Liverpool Premier League title parade for free - TV channel, live stream

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has lifted the Premier League trophy to rapturous scenes at Anfield. And now the title party will continue with the silverware set to be paraded around the city.

Later today, the first parade since Liverpool celebrated a domestic cup double in 2022 will be held on Merseyside. The previous one was just hours after the Reds had lost to Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Paris.

This one is likely to have a very different feel. There has been a mood of jubilation in Liverpool since the title was confirmed, and Jurgen Klopp— unable to celebrate his league title win — is back as well.

The club is expecting around 750,000 fans to turn out for the parade. And with Radio 1's Big Weekend having been on from Friday to Sunday as well, it's a huge logistical challenge for the city, which is expected to be extra busy.

The parade route, which is the same as the 2022 edition, is approximately 10 miles (15 kilometers) long. It will begin at Allerton Maze, ending on Blundell Street, which is just after The Strand in Liverpool city center.

Fans will no doubt line the entire route, which will pass along Queens Drive, Mill Bank, the West Derby Road, Islington and Leeds Street on the way to its final destination. It is expected to take anywhere between three and five hours, although even that is little more than a rough estimate.

The parade begins at 2.30pm UK time (11.30am ET), allowing for more time than in previous years. Those not in Liverpool for the parade can stream it live for free on YouTube.

Naturally, there are public safety challenges around handling such large crowds. The council has warned anyone attending in person that flares and drones are not permitted.

"There’s a lot of — how do you call it? — I won’t say dreaming because it will be a reality but I can picture it and it will be a very emotional day," Van Dijk told reporters a few weeks ago when he was looking ahead to the parade.

"My family will be there, my mum, my wife, my kids. But until we get there, we must keep focusing on the games ahead of us and try to win the last three games in front of us.

"Hopefully [it will be] even better than what we had after the Champions League final. I already encouraged everyone to wear red in the last game and keep doing that for the rest of the season because everyone saw how amazing it was.

"For so many fans and people that have been going to Anfield for so many years it was one of their best days ever.

"So hopefully the 25th will top that and the parade will be even more crazy than ever and there will be even more people coming from around the world to be in Liverpool to come and be with us."
