Kieran Tierney applauds the Arsenal fans
Mystic Kieran Tierney had a sixth sense that he was in line for an Arsenal farewell to remember – according to an emotional Mikel Arteta.
The returning Celtic hero is exiting the Gunners after six years and told his boss 24 hours before the 2-1 win against Southampton that he was getting on the scoresheet.
And the Scotland international made his premonition come true when he netted in the 43rd minute at St Mary's – much to the delight of his adoring team-mate.
Tierney aired his renowned wit after the game on social media as he deftly described his final Arsenal goal as "one for the road". His deft touch will be missed as he reunites with his boyhood club after agreeing a pre-contract in January.
It has been a year of rebuilding for Tierney as he enjoyed an injury-free campaign and built up his conditioning as a regular contributor for the Gunners during the second half of the season.

And Arteta was beaming at the final whistle for a player he can't hide his fondness for.
Speaking after Tierney's final game for the Gunners, the former Rangers star said: "He said it yesterday, I'm going to score on my last Arsenal match and he's done it! So, credit to him, a special thank you to him. He's been part of the journey and he's won with me. It's true that he went to Sociedad for a few months, but it's been a joy to work with him, a really special character.
