Emotional Liverpool Player Hints He Could Be Leaving After Final Game of Season

Liverpool fans are convinced one of their stars is on his way out of the club following a post on social media after their final game of the season against Crystal Palace wrapped up on Sunday. It was a fruitful campaign for the Reds, with Arne Slot delivering only their second ever Premier League title in his debut season at Anfield.

He's wasted little time preparing for their title defence next season. Before the 2024/25 campaign had even finished, the Reds had begun recruiting for the summer and are reportedly close to bringing Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez into the fold. They've already agreed a deal with Bayer Leverkusen's Jeremie Frimpong too.

It's not just players coming into the club that they've started working on already either. Trent Alexander-Arnold has already confirmed his exit from Anfield, with the full-back set to join Real Madrid once his contract expires and now, Liverpool fans think another player is on the way out after his post on social media and that's Harvey Elliott.

Liverpool Fans Are Convinced Elliott Is Leaving

His post on social media indicates as such

Harvey Elliott

While end-of-season social media posts have become common courtesy in football these days, Elliott's has convinced Liverpool fans that his days with the club are numbered. Shortly after they lifted the Premier League trophy, he took to Instagram and shared an image of himself, emotional on the pitch, and said: "Memories for life! Thank you Reds."

The post has convinced supporters that his post signals the end of his time at Anfield. One shared the image on X (Twitter) and said: "Yeah, Harvey is gone." Others shared their feelings on his potential exit with one, posting: "Gutted he's leaving - really like him."

A third fan expressed disappointment about his potential exit, but understood why he'd be departing the club. They stated: "He deserves playing week in week out and he won’t get that at Liverpool on a consistent basis sadly. But if he is going, I wish him all the success in his future." A fourth shared their admiration for Elliott, who's been a Liverpool player since 2019, posting: "I loved him as a player mainly because of how much he loves the club. Wishing him all the best, will be missed for sure."

As already mentioned, Elliott isn't the only player leaving Anfield, with Alexander-Arnold on the way out, but one fan thinks the midfielder will be a much bigger loss. They posted: "This genuinely breaks my heart. Way bigger loss than Trent. what an awful ending it was," while another got straight to the point and said: "Sad. A true Red is leaving."

Over the course of six years, the Englishman represented the Reds on 147 occasions, scoring 15 goals and assisting a further 20 along the way.
