Alejandro Garnacho was the only Manchester United star not to applaud Ruben Amorim's post-season speech
Alejandro Garnacho made his feelings on Ruben Amorim clear after being the only Manchester United player not to applaud his end-of-season speech after their 2-0 win over Aston Villa. The Argentine's future at Old Trafford looks uncertain after being axed from the squad for the final match of a dismal campaign.
The winger was also excluded from the starting XI in the team's 1-0 Europa League final defeat to Tottenham last week and expressed frustration with Amorim's decision, while also hinting he could depart in the summer. However, his manager has insisted he will travel with the team on their post-season tour of Asia.
Garnacho was not spotted watching the game from the directors' box but he did join his team-mates on the pitch at full time to listen to Amorim's speech.
The Portuguese coach promised that the "good days were coming" after a disastrous season saw them finish 15th with 11 wins, nine draws and 18 defeats.
Amorim said: "Six months ago, in my first three games in charge, with two victories and one draw, I said to you the storm is coming. Today, after this disastrous season, I want to tell you the good days are coming. If there is one club in the world that proves in the past that it can overcome any situation, any disaster, it’s our club, it’s Manchester United Football Club.

"Now I want to say sorry also to my players, sometimes I was not fair, but I always try to be honest with you. Thanks very much, see you next season."
According to the Manchester Evening News, Garnacho refused to clap his manager after addressing the supporters and his feud with the manager could now spell the end for his time in Manchester.
He already irked Amorim earlier in the season when he turned his back on the coach while being given instructions during a Europa League clash against Viktoria Plzen and was benched for four games.

Garnacho is expected to leave United this summer after falling out with Amorim
And after the agonising defeat to Spurs, in which Garnacho impressed as a sub, he made it clear he wasn't happy not to start the game.
Speaking to reporters, he said: “It’s hard for everyone," he said. “The season was s***, both now losing the final tonight, and in the league, where we didn’t beat anyone, that’s the truth.
"Up until the final, I’ve played every round, and today to play 20 minutes… I don’t know. I’m going to try to enjoy the summer and see what happens after.”
His brother Robert also expressed frustration, accusing Amorim of "throwing him under the bus". He wrote on Instagram: "Working as no-one else, helping every round, coming from two goals in the last two finals, just to be on the pitch for 19 mins and get thrown under the bus."
