Federico Chiesa sends two-word message after loving Liverpool title celebrations

After a season of limited impact, Italian star Federico Chiesa celebrated his Premier League title win with Liverpool. Despite being a secondary figure since his $13 million (£10 million) switch from Juventus, featuring just six times in the league and starting only once, at Brighton, Chiesa wholeheartedly joined in the post-match festivities.

He was notably absent from the squad on the last day against Crystal Palace, where Liverpool clawed its way to a 1-1 draw, but that didn't diminish his participation in the jubilations alongside fans and teammates. The celebrations saw Chiesa, at his colleagues' insistence, triumphantly lift the trophy before supporters as they serenaded him with his catchy song.

Later, memories of glory were posted on social media by Chiesa, showcasing photos with the trophy, his partner, and pals. Accompanying the images, he succinctly captioned them "Anfield Road", trailed by a heart emoji, signaling his affection for the stadium's storied atmosphere.

With the campaign concluded, discussions on Chiesa's future with the Reds have started, as his debut campaign saw him largely confined to the edges of the action.

Following the stalemate against Crystal Palace, Reds boss Slot confessed that he must have a chat with several squad members who have seen limited action to discuss their intentions moving forward. Chiesa is surely one of them.

"If we need to strengthen the team, we will," Slot said. "I don't know yet if all the players who didn't play that much this season will all want to stay, yes or no. This is something we will find out in the upcoming weeks."

Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott appeared to be emotional at the final whistle, hinting that he could be on the way out, where there is likely to be interest in Darwin Nunez, who has fallen down the pecking order.

Jarell Quansah and Kostas Tsimikas have also been linked with exits. And Barcelona sporting director Deco admitted that he admired Luis Diaz earlier this week.

"Another special day," Slot said in his pre-match press conference. "Less pressure than four weeks ago, of course, when we had to win the game to get those celebrations.

"Now we knew we would get them. The energy in the stadium, how loud the fans were, the way the game ended in the last half-hour, going down to 10 men and then seeing such a great reaction from the players and the fans which led to, in my opinion, a deserved goal – we deserved to go 1-1.

"These players and these fans hate losing. They don't want to lose, and that's what we showed again today."

Liverpool.com says: Chiesa seemingly loves being a Reds player, but he has played so little this season that he surely has to consider an exit this summer. Clubs back in Italy would be willing to make a move for him, with Napoli and AC Milan among those to have been linked with offering him an 'escape route', to use the parlance of the transfer rumor mill.

Slot signed Chiesa on a cheap deal but there is nothing to suggest that he can make himself more of a regular fixture. Nunez was put on the bench ahead of him on Sunday, for instance, and he hasn't made much impact for months.
