Leicester City are aiming for a quick return to the top flight after being relegated from the Premier League this season. The Foxes have already started preparation to reshape their squad.
Foot Mercato have a short report on Leicester’s interest in Bourg-en-Bresse Péronnas 01’s Abdoul Karim Traoré.
The 18-year-old climbed through the ranks of the French club’s youth system and made his way into their first team at the start of this season. He scored three goals from 17 games.
Even though the youngster’s statistics aren’t that impressive, Foot Mercato say he’s one of the ‘revelations of this season’ in Championnat National, which is the third division in France.
The report states the frontman has attracted interest from Leicester and KVC Westerlo, and they add the two clubs have made offers for him.
Foot Mercato make no mention of the details of the proposals made by the Foxes and the Jupiler Pro League side or if the player is willing to join either of them.
Abdoul Karim Traoré’s contract expires in 2026, with an option for another year. Bourg-en-Bresse may find it difficult to reject offers for him in the upcoming window.
