Train users are advised to plan their journeys in advance and allow extra time when travelling

The change has been made to ensure customer safety

Disruption to Merseyrail services continues today with multiple station closures due to the Liverpool FC victory parade. Hundreds of thousands of fans will turn the city into a sea of red this bank holiday Monday as they march from Allerton Maze.

The route is expected to begin at 2.30pm, and will take the celebrating LFC fans down Queens Drive, Mill Bank, West Derby Road, Islington, Leeds Street, and The Strand, before finishing at Blundell Street.

Multiple Merseyrail train stations were shut down yesterday, May 25, due to it being the final matchday of the Premier League season, when Liverpool FC were crowned champions at Anfield after playing Crystal Palace.

Merseyrail services are expected to be very busy today. To help everyone travel safely, special timetables are in place, and some stations will be closed.

Trains will run every 15 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes from approximately 7.30pm. The only exception is the Southport line, where trains will run every 15 minutes from start to end of service.

James Street and Lime Street underground low level stations will be closed all day

Train users are advised to plan their journeys in advance and allow extra time when travelling. Merseyrail recommends buying your tickets in advance at any staffed station to avoid queuing on the day. You can check station closures and timetable changes below.
