Man Utd flew to Asia after their Premier League won over Aston Villa on Sunday night.
Manchester United have embarked on their inaugural post-season tour following the conclusion of the Premier League season on Sunday night. Ruben Amorim’s side signed off the regular season with a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa at Old Trafford and will play friendly matches against ASEAN All-Stars and Hong Kong later this week.
It is understood the short trip to Asia will generate roughly £7.8 million for the club and will be a timely financial boost after they finished the campaign trophyless. It is estimated United would have gained somewhere in the region of £100 million had they defeated Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final and earned Champions League qualification.
United have named a strong side for the forthcoming matches in Asia and are expected to name star-studded starting line ups for both games, with several youngsters set to be given a chance from the bench instead. There will be a few notable omissions though.

Five stars to miss post-season tour

Ruben Amorim named a strong 32-man squad for the trip, with Alejandro Garnacho included just a day after he was told he could find a new club this summer.
Lisandro Martinez has not travelled to Asia with the rest of his teammates as he continues his rehabilitation from anterior cruciate ligament surgery. The Argentine is expected to be sidelined for six months from when he suffered his setback at the start of February, though he had travelled to Bilbao for the Europa League final.
Leny Yoro has also missed out on the trip after he aggravated a foot injury after the recent defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, while Noussair Mazraoui will not feature after he suffered a hamstring injury in the final day win over Aston Villa. At full-time of the Villa win, United confirmed Jonny Evans, Victor Lindelof and Christian Eriksen would all leave the club as free agents this summer. Lindelof and Eriksen will not feature on the tour as they prepare themselves for summer transfers, though Evans will feature ahead of a possible retirement.
