Rumours linking Simone Inzaghi with Al-Hilal have come at exactly the wrong time for Inter Milan ahead of the Champions League final against PSG.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

By now, the rumours linking Simone Inzaghi to Al-Hilal are no secret.

Reportedly, the Saudi Pro League club have made the Inter Milan coach their top target to replace Jorge Jesus on their bench.

And Al-Hilal have been trying to tempt Inzaghi with an absolutely gigantic financial offer.

There have been rumours that Inzaghi has said yes to Al-Hilal. However, there’s no truth to these.

For the moment, the 49-year-old has not made any decision on his future. He’s waiting for the Champions League final, and preparing for that match is his only priority.

Behind the scenes, Inter’s plan is to discuss Inzaghi’s future with him after the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.

No one at the club wants any distractions from that.

The Champions League final represents a chance to write history for Inter Milan. Therefore, they are going all-in on preparing for next Saturday’s final.

However, the Al-Hilal links have become an unavoidable distraction.

Inzaghi and Inter may be keen to put these rumours as far from their mind as possible. But as long as they are floating around the media, they can’t simply be ignored.
