Jamie Carragher has been called out for past comments that he made about Chelsea and has been told to pay £5,000 now that the Blues have qualified for next season's Champions League. It's been and up and down season for Enzo Maresca during his first campaign in charge at Stamford Bridge.
After several years of turmoil, he's turned things around somewhat for Chelsea and got them back into the top four. They'll be playing Champions League football once again, but it wasn't all smooth sailing for the side and there were plenty of struggles along the way. Following Todd Boehly's takeover at Stamford Bridge, the Blues endured a tough stretch. They spent billions of pounds on an array of players, but nothing seemed to be working as they struggled in the middle of the table.

Jamie Carragher Questions ‘Mentality’ of Liverpool Star at Risk of Being Upgraded vs Palace
He’s played a big role in the Reds’ Premier League triumph - but Carragher thinks he’s in danger of losing his place in the XI.
At the start of the 2024/25 season, Carragher slammed Chelsea and questioned why any footballer would want to play for them. He urged stars to sign with 'proper' clubs, rather than move to the Blues. When they were described as an 'exciting young team', he took issue and argued that they weren't.
Now, his comments have resurfaced after Maresca's men secured a top four finish and a place in the Champions League, with Dennis Wise sending him a public message on social media.

He poked fun at the former defender and asked for a charitable donation
Dennis Wise
After his former club secured Champions League football, Chelsea icon Wise couldn't resist jumping on social media and sending a public message to Carragher. While on holiday, the former midfielder posted a video, addressing the pundit and his comments about the Blues. Speaking to the camera, Wise said:
"Hello, Mr Jamie Carragher, I hope you're well. As you see, I'm away on holiday. I've just seen the results and I think you owe my charity, or a charity of my choice, £5000.
"Sometimes, when I watch you on TV, you are really good. Sometimes, you get things wrong and this one, you got wrong."
Wise, who represented Chelsea on 440 occasions, couldn't hide the smirk on his face as he addressed Carragher. His emotions reflect how the majority of the Blues' fanbase is feeling right now. After several really tough seasons, the club are back among the elite once again.
