'Understand': Fabrizio Romano has just shared an ominous update about Man City's pursuit of…

Wolves are set for a huge summer – and there is already lots of speculation surrounding Rayan Ait-Nouri.

Rayan Ait-Nouri has been one of Wolves’ best players in 2024/25, after a bit of a slow start.

The Algeria international has finished the season as the defender with the most goal contributions for a defender in the Premier League.

He was at fault for the goal Brentford scored yesterday at Molineux. But overall, Ait-Nouri has developed really nicely.

And as a result of that, interest in him is high – and Manchester City are a club that are interested in Ait-Nouri.

Now, there has been a development regarding their interest.

Ait-Nouri could well be another player who leaves Wolves this summer.

Matheus Cunha will be joining Manchester United, and then fans are expecting another big sale, as was the case last summer when both Pedro Neto and Max Kilman left.

Most feel Ait-Nouri will be that second player, given the length of time he’s been at Molineux.

His market value may not get higher than it currently is, and there’s every chance he could go.

It was reported recently that Manchester City were ‘expected’ to join the race for Ait-Nouri, and now Fabrizio Romano has now provided an update on City’s interest in the player.

Ait-Nouri has been a great player for Wolves.

But there is an argument to suggest that the time is right for him to now be sold.

His market value probably won’t go too much higher than it is now, and Wolves have someone waiting in the wings to replace him in Hugo Bueno.

Bueno has been on loan at Feyenoord this season, and by many accounts has done well.

Molineux News was told earlier this year that there’s a great chance Wolves could reintegrate Bueno in 2025/26.

And recently it was suggested Bueno loves Wolves and would happily stick around if he was to be given regular game time.
