Ruben Amorim has included Alejandro Garnacho in his 32-man squad for Manchester United’s post-season friendly matches.

The Red Devils take on ASEAN All-Stars in Malaysia on May 28, before travelling to China to face Hong Kong just two days later.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the mini tour of Asia has received criticism from supporters and pundits alike given United’s disappointing campaign only came to an end on Sunday.

Amorim’s players immediately boarded a plane to Malaysia after beating Unai Emery’s Aston Villa on the final day of the Premier League season at Old Trafford.

There had been some debate as to whether Alejandro Garnacho would travel after the winger questioned Amorim’s tactics in the wake of the club’s crushing Europa League final defeat to Tottenham.

Just hours before United’s 2-0 win over Villa, Garnacho’s girlfriend, Eva Garcia, appeared to confirm that the Argentina international had played for the Red Devils for the last time.

However, Amorim has been adamant that Garnacho remains a part of his plans for the future and the forward has travelled to Asia along with Andre Onana, who was also omitted against Villa.
