The summer transfer window is heating up, and Manchester United are preparing for a crucial few weeks as Ruben Amorim looks to strengthen key areas of the squad.

While links to forwards like Liam Delap and Victor Osimhen remain active, attention has now turned to an in-form European star whose numbers are simply too big to ignore.
With Arsenal pushing hard to land the player, United are eyeing a late intervention that could stun their rivals.
Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres is now firmly on Manchester United’s radar as Amorim considers a bold swoop to bring his former striker to Old Trafford.
The Swedish forward has had a breathtaking season in Portugal, scoring 53 goals and assisting 13 times in 51 appearances across all competitions.

Since moving from Coventry City in 2023, Viktor Gyokeres has netted 95 goals in just 100 games for Sporting, including 39 goals and 8 assists in 33 league matches this campaign.
The 26-year-old helped Sporting win another league title under Rui Borges and capped off the season by scoring in extra time of their Taca de Portugal final victory on Sunday.
Arsenal have made Gyokeres their top striker target, with sporting director Andrea Berta reportedly working on a bid as the transfer window opens on June 1st.
But speaking after lifting the Portuguese cup, Gyokeres left the door wide open to other clubs.
Asked about the Arsenal rumours, he said: “It’s impossible to say, we never know what happens in football. Arsenal links? I don’t know anything.
“My focus was on the games. If the links were true then… we will see this summer.”
Amorim remains a big admirer of the striker he coached last season and is pushing behind the scenes for United to act before it’s too late.
