Everton to learn Liam Delap transfer decision this week

Along with a number of other Premier League sides, Everton are really interested in signing Liam Delap this summer.

The Ipswich Town striker is the hot topic when it comes to Premier League transfer talk as the season comes to an end.

According to Ben Jacobs, Delap is now set to make his decision on his next club this week before he jets off for the U21 Euros.

Liam Delap is expected to decide his future this week before heading off to the Under-21 Euros. He remains Manchester United’s top choice.

Chelsea, Newcastle and Everton have also all held talks.

Manchester United still have Delap at the top of their list but the 20-year-old has also spoken with Everton.

The main factor for Delap is that his next club will provide him with regular minutes ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

A decision is expected ‘imminently’ with the youngster keen to return to the north west.

Everton would promise Delap regular minutes with Moyes believing Everton could have an outside chance of landing the striker.

But the Red Devils are pushing to sign the youngster following their dreadful campaign.

Delap should join Everton

A move to Merseyside would make a lot of sense for Delap.

Everton would provide Delap with the minutes he is demanding ahead of the World Cup next year.

Beto has impressed at times for Everton this year, but there have been spells where he has shown a lack of consistency.

Ahead of any further announcements, Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s future remains hanging in the balance amid his contract saga.

Moyes would be open to signing two strikers this summer as there is a clear need to improve overall in attack.

There is a clear opening to become Everton’s first choice striker this summer and Delap could take it with both hands.
