When does the transfer window open? Manchester United set for crucial squad rebuild

Man Utd will be active in the 2025 summer transfer window as they look to rebuild their squad.

The Premier League has already confirmed the key dates for the 2025 summer transfer window.

Manchester United finished 15th in the Premier League and won't play European football next season, meaning United chiefs must get their recruitment right to rebuild this summer.

The summer transfer window opens on Sunday, June 1, before closing again on Tuesday, June 10.

The window will open earlier than usual due to the FIFA Club World Cup taking place this summer.

The transfer window will then reopen for a second time on Monday, June 16, and remain open until the newly announced deadline day time of 7pm on Monday, September 1.

The deadline time was previously at 11pm, but the Premier League have brought the deadline forward by four hours to help provide a better work-life balance to staff employed in football.

United are targeting at least three priority signings and Matheus Cunha is set to be the first new face through the door at Carrington. Cunha has a £62.5million release clause at Wolves.

United have also identified Liam Delap of Ipswich Town as a top target. Amorim's side have struggled to score goals throughout the season and signing a new striker is high on the agenda.

Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee scored just 17 goals between them in all competitions.

United could also sign a new goalkeeper, a right wing-back and a midfielder, depending on outgoings.
