Barcelona’s summer business is already heating up, and it is not just the headline names drawing interest.
According to journalist Nacho Sanchis, Valencia are keeping a close eye on Pau Victor, the 23-year-old forward who finds himself on the fringes of Hansi Flick’s plans at Camp Nou.
Victor has struggled for opportunities this season, clocking less than 400 minutes in all competitions. Despite his limited involvement, the young striker remains a player of interest for several clubs, with Valencia at the front of the queue.
In fact, back in December, during the confusion surrounding the registrations of Victor and Dani Olmo, Valencia had already opened the door for a potential move in case the forward was left without a squad place at Barça.
Fast forward to today, and the situation remains unresolved. While Barcelona’s board are yet to make a definitive decision, Valencia are monitoring developments closely, prepared to make a move should the Catalan club opt to loan or sell the player.

Within Barcelona, there are divided opinions. Some believe that a loan would be the best move for Victor, allowing him to gain valuable experience and regular playing time elsewhere.
Others, however, feel differently. They point to Hansi Flick’s appreciation of Victor’s work ethic and professionalism in training.
Given his relatively low salary and a contract that runs until 2029, he could be a useful squad option, especially in a season where Barcelona’s depth will be tested across multiple competitions.
There have also been murmurs of a potential sale to ease the club’s wage bill, but that scenario seems unlikely for now.
Victor’s modest earnings mean his departure would not significantly impact the club’s financial fair play margins, removing any urgency to push him out the door.
What is clear is that Valencia are poised to act. Whether on loan or via a permanent transfer, they see Victor as a smart addition to their squad.
