Sunderland secured promotion to the Premier League at the weekend, beating Sheffield United in the play-off final at Wembley. It’s a huge achievement for the club and will reshape their summer transfer window.
There had been suggestions that Jobe Bellingham could decide to stay at Sunderland and spend at least a season in the Premier League. The player has been linked to multiple clubs, with Borussia Dortmund claims going back for many months. Given Jobe’s brother Jude played for BVB, and did so well he got a move to Real Madrid, it had looked like an obvious destination.
However, in recent weeks Eintracht Frankfurt have moved into the picture and according to claims from Germany, Jobe Bellingham is visiting the Bundesliga side today.
Sky Deutschland’s Patrick Berger reports on Bellingham’s Monday trip to Germany, and says the Sunderland player is set for a tour of the club’s facilities. He’ll also hold talks with Eintracht but there’s no chance of him having a medical today.
Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig remain in the picture, and the Sunderland player is expected to decide his future soon.
