Manchester United look set to be closing in on their first signing of the summer transfer window - even before it officially opens.
The first mini window of the summer will open from June 1, although clubs are able to do deals before then. It will close again on June 10, before re-opening six days later.
Wolves forward Matheus Cunha appears to be getting closer to completing a move to Old Trafford - just after he played what could be his final game for Wolves. Last month, The Manchester Evening News reported the forward was hopeful of a deal being done.
The 25-year-old has scored 15 goals and provided six assists in 33 Premier League outings this season. His displays have prompted United to make a move.
Here's the latest on that proposed transfer;
Contract details
Just a matter of hours after the final whistle of United's Premier League season, vs Aston Villa, journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that there was a "verbal agreement" between all parties over the transfer.
It's thought that Cunha will sign a five-year contract at Old Trafford, with the option of an extra year. Wolves will receive a fee of £62.5million in instalments.
This coming week will see the contract checked, plus details of the instalments be completed, before the player formalises his move.
Medical update
A medical is now "pending" for Cunha as he looks to complete his summer move to Old Trafford. Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg has reported that a ‘full agreement’ has been reached with Wolves.
After completing a medical - which is reportedly expected soon - the player will sign his contract a Old Trafford.
Wolves goodbye
Cunha might have played his final match for Wolves, with the player appearing to say goodbye to the Molineux faithful following Sunday afternoon's final game.
Wolves drew 1-1 against Brentford and after the final whistle, as Wolves players' completed their traditional lap of appreciation around the pitch, a video on social media shows Cunha approach the South Bank of the stadium and sharing a moment with fans in what appeared to be a goodbye.
The fans sung his name - as Cunha responded by tapping his chest and then waving before turning away to walk back towards the tunnel.
