Jacksonville Jaguars: Fans React to Unheralded Trevor Lawrence Weapon’s Interview Amid Breakout …

The Jacksonville Jaguars will enter the 2025 NFL season with plenty of intrigue. For one, all eyes remain on rookie wide receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter, who is expected to bring a lot to the table for the Jags, especially on offense.

But fans probably shouldn’t be sleeping a lot on Jacksonville tight end Brenton Strange, who remains largely unknown as he prepares for his third season in the NFL.

Indianapolis Colts linebacker E.J. Speed (45) tackles Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange (85) during the game at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Strange believes that he is more than ready to take on a bigger role in the Jaguars’ offense, especially with Evan Engram no longer around. Engram, who was the Jags’ top tight end in 2024, is now with the Denver Broncos after signing with the AFC West division team over the offseason.

ViaBobby Kownack of NFL.com:

“I’m definitely ready for it,” Strange told senior team writer John Oehser on theO-Zone Podcast. “I have a lot of confidence in myself and I’ve always had a lot of confidence in myself. I feel like I’m always one of the best players on the field. I feel like that’s the mentality I bring.”

But even with Engram’s departure, Stranger will still have to prove himself worthy of the TE1 role, as he’s got some competition for the role. The Jaguars added new tight ends in the offseason, with Hunter Long, Quintin Morris and Johnny Mundt coming over to Jacksonville.

Selected in the second round (61st overall) by the Jaguars in the 2023 NFL draft, Strange has three touchdowns on 45 receptions and 62 targets in 31 games so far in his NFL career.

Meanwhile, here are some reactions to Stranger’sinterview with Oesher.

“Highest catch percentage of all Jags TEs/WRs last season and he has a nasty disposition when he blocks 😎”

“This guy was a great interview and gave some really insight answers.”

“Not gone lie, I really really miss Marcedes Lewis. Hopefully Strange can follow his footsteps.”

“I’ve been waiting to say Doctor Strange after a big play”

“This guy is a great tight end first two years we asked him to just block and he was better than our linemen”“Brentan is straight NASTY on the field. So stoked on him”
