Aston Villa’s new home kit has supposedly been ‘leaked’ ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Aston Villa fans may be able to take a look at their 2025/26 home kit earlier than expected, after the kit was allegedly ‘leaked’ online several weeks before its official release.
Footy Headlines have posted images online of the new kit, sourcing them from Opaleak who regularly upload images of ‘leaked’ kits on their X page. Villa’s supposed new strip is said to pay tribute to Villa’s iconic Holte End, with gold details added to the club’s historic claret and blue colours and intricate patterns across the chest and on the end of the sleeves. The kit is once again made by Adidas and Betano remains as the shirt sponsor. The kit will be released on July 15th 2025.
A kit leak is as such, a ‘leak’, which is not coming directly from the club and so therefore has a strong element of unreliability to it. Having said that, Footy Headlines have been known to be accurate with Villa kit leaks in the past - back in November, leaks of all three of Villa’s kits for the 2025/26 season came out, with the official release of the Villains’ away kit last week proving that the early images were very much close to the truth.
Footy Headlines stated that Villa’s 2025/26 away kit would be a return to a black away kit for the first time since the 2020/21 season, with “light greyish-blue accents and logos in a monochrome silver/grey tone”. This information proved to be true, as the kit was released ahead of its debut on the pitch during Villa’s final day trip to Old Trafford.
Villa home kit ‘leaked’ ahead of July release
The supposed leak reveals the new home kit’s inspiration by Villa Park’s famous Holte End, which will be sure to excite Villa fans as they aim to compete both domestically and in Europe next campaign.
Unai Emery’s side will compete in the Europa League after a controversial final-day defeat at the hands of Manchester United, Morgan Rogers having what Villa players insisted was a fair goal disallowed before Amad Diallo opened the scoring at the other end in what ended as a 2-0 United victory. Crucially, referee Thomas Bramall blew his whistle before the ball hit the net after Rogers’ strike, meaning VAR could not intervene. Villa issued a club statement after the game, questioning the PGMOL’s selection of an ‘inexperienced’ referee ahead of such a high-stakes game.
While the taste may be bitter for Villa fans at present, they will have lots to look forward to in their new kit next season. They may see themselves as one of the favourites to win the Europa League given Emery’s past expertise in the competition as manager of Sevilla and Villarreal, so this prospective new home kit may be the one which sees the return of European glory to Villa Park.
Official release date set for July 15th
Villa fans will have just over seven weeks to wait to find out how close this leaked home kit is to the truth, when the official release date arrives on July 15th. This comes a month ahead of the beginning of the new Premier League season on Saturday, August 16th 2025.
