Jaxson Dart’s presence in the New York Giants has definitely not impressed Daniel Kelly, a former NFL scout, who voiced his opinions on the young quarterback in a recent tweet from his X account. Kelly compared Dart’s current form with the Giants to that of quarterback Zach Wilson, when he played before for the New York Jets.
Wilson played for the New York Jets from 2021 to 2023 after being selected by the team as the second pick in the very first round of the NFL draft. However, his performance fell far below expectations and the team had to soon let him go and bring in veteran quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. The Jets, unfortunately, had no major luck with Rodgers as well, and released him earlier this March.
“Jaxson Dart is like Zach Wilson in New York all over again —only this time on the Giants,” Daniel Kelly tweetedabout Jaxson Dart’s presence with the New York Giants.

Jaxson Dart was selected by the New York Giants as the 25th pick in the first round of the recently concluded 2025 NFL draft. Dart was the second quarterback to be selected in the draft, and was named a top prospect in the list along with Cam Ward.
Before being selected by the Giants, Dart played college football for the USC Trojans and the Ole Miss Rebels. In his senior year with Ole Miss, Dart managed to throw for a total of 4,279 yards, scoring 29 touchdowns, while managing six interceptions for the team.

Perhaps not everyone likes him, but it surely looks like the New York Giants are in love with Jaxson Dart. According to fresh reports by NFL analyst Chris Simms, the Giants may bring in Dart towards the middle of the upcoming NFL season to replace veteran quarterback, Russell Wilson.

Wilson, being a major senior in the game, is heading towards retirement, as reported by both NFL analysts and his own stats. As a result, the veteran QB has much to prove in this upcoming NFL season. Still, if his performance is up to par, the New York Giants may simply opt to switch him with Jaxson Dart.

The New York Giants will be eager to do better in this upcoming NFL season after miserably performing in the previous one. Last year, the Giants finished at the bottom of the NFC East with three wins and 14 defeats.
