Leeds United have returned to the Premier League and will want to improvie their squad as soon as possible, ready for pre-season.
BILD report the Whites are ‘serious’ about a move for Bayern Munich goalkeeper Daniel Peretz, who played just three times in the Bundesliga in the 2024/25 season.
The newspaper explain that while the 24-year-old wants to break into Bayern Munich’s first-team, he would initially have to spend a season on loan elsewhere before achieving his ultimate career goal.
As a result, ‘talks are underway’ with Leeds United and Italian side Genoa have also come forward for the goalkeeper. Burnley are also interested but the Elland Road club seem more advanced in their move than the Clarets.
There is also interest from PSV Eindhoven and the Dutch club could have an advantage over Leeds United because they will play in the Champions League next season. That would set the Israeli goalkeeper up well before returning to Bayern Munich in 2026.
Peretz would see the loan club only as a stepping stone for Bayern Munich and has no other major ambitions, beyond starring for the Bavarians in the future.
Leeds United may be better served with a longer term option.
