Thousands of Arsenal fans descended upon the Emirates Stadium on Bank Holiday Monday to celebrate their women's side who dethroned the Queens of Europe

Thousands of football fans have descended upon the Emirates Stadium to celebrate Arsenal's history makers.
The Gunners conquered the continent on Saturday evening as Swedish striker Stina Blackstenius came off the bench to down Barcelona in Lisbon. Barcelona had been the heavy favourites heading into the clash, with their constellation of stars
However, the Gunners held firm and Barcelona failed to find the net for the first time in 41 matches, after scoring an impressive 19 goals in their last three games.
And the streets of north London were awash with red on Bank Holiday Monday as crowds turned out in their thousands to welcome home their heroes.
"I said before I have been educated my whole life and seen with my own two eyes how successful Arsenal have been, especially Arsenal women," Leah Williamson said when addressing the crowd.

"All I ever wanted to do was be a part of it. It's very special.
"We knew it was going to be a special day but when we all walked out we said this is one of those moments, this is one of the moments I'll tell my grandkids about. Thank you."
Alessia Russo added: "It feels great, everyone is a bit tired. It feels incredible but I still don't think it's sunk in yet.

"It was a great, we had a great night. We were dancing all night with our friends and family so it was sick. We loved it."
The Arsenal players all addressed the crowd as they donned shirts with "Champions 25" printed on the back. Players started to chant with crowd as Arsenal's club dog Win even made an appearance on the stage.
"It's just amazing standing here with this team and all of you. We won the Champions League and it feels unbelievable in every way," Blackstenius said while looking at the crowds.

There won't be too much rest for the stars, with Euro 2025 getting underway on July 2 in Switzerland.
England's first match is a tough clash with France on July 5 at the Stadion Letzigrund in Zurich.
