After the 2024/25 Premier League season concluded at the weekend, it’s time to revisit another unforgettable campaign and hand out our end-of-season awards.
From the best player to the best gaffer, game, goal and more, we’ve celebrated the moments and people that made the 2024/25 season.
Here are our 2024/25 end-of-season Premier League awards.
Player of the Season
Mohamed Salah claimed a record-equalling third FWA Footballer of the Year award and is expected to hoover up the rest of the individual awards too.
The league’s leading goalscorer. The league’s leading assist provider. A record for goal contributions in a 38-game season. Salah was untouchable at time for Liverpool, a production machine who arguably reached his peak performance in 2024/25.
Mohamed Salah is the first to win all of these awards in the same season…

Liverpool do not hand lucrative contracts to ageing stars but an exception had to be made this time around. Salah, still, is relentlessly good.
Young Player of the Season (21 or under as of 1 July)
Aston Villa agonisingly missed out on Champions League qualification, but it was another encouraging season for Unai Emery’s side who might just have consigned the ‘Big Six’ to a thing of the past.
Morgan Rogers was at the centre of their season with the midfielder emerging as one of the league’s most watchable talents. Rogers combines a broad frame with delicate footwork, using strength and skill to carry the ball forward and drive at defences. He ranked among the Premier League’s top players for through balls (5th) and successful take ons (6th), while reaching 14 goals and 15 assists in all competitions.

A key part of the club’s run to the Champions League quarter-finals, Emery’s £8m gamble on a previously inconsistent Championship midfielder has paid dividends. He’s proven that he belongs on the big stage in 2024/25.
Honourable mentions: Murillo (Nottingham Forest), Dean Huijsen (Bournemouth), Liam Delap (Ipswich Town), Amad Diallo (Manchester United)
Manager of the Season
When Arne Slot was announced as Liverpool manager last summer, the narrative surrounded the huge task he had to replace Jurgen Klopp. Slot has made it look a breeze, leading Liverpool to the Premier League title in his debut campaign.
Few predicted the Reds would top the table, but Slot’s side started superbly and never looked back to be crowned champions comfortably. The Dutchman deserves huge credit for elevating the squad he inherited, with his sole signing the rarely seen Federico Chiesa. Proof that hard work on the training ground can trump investment.

Honourable mentions: Nuno Espirito Santo (Nottingham Forest), Eddie Howe (Newcastle United), Oliver Glasner (Crystal Palace)
Goal of the Season
Omar Marmoush left it late but this stunning strike against Bournemouth is a deserving winner of the Goal of the Season accolade.
The January recruit scored seven times following his mid-season arrival from Eintracht Frankfurt, but none better than this.
File this under ‘unsaveable’.
Has to be goal of the season right? 💥

Save of the Season
Just how did Emi Martinez keep this out?
The Aston Villa goalkeeper made an extraordinary effort to deny Nottingham Forest in December, somehow contorting to scoop away a goal-bound effort off the line. It was an astonishing moment of dexterity from the Argentine.
Emi Martinez. Out of this world 🤯

Honourable mention: David Raya vs Aston Villa
Signing of the Season
Perhaps the purpose of a new signing is to strengthen a previous weakness, which makes overlooking Nikola Milenkovic impossible.
Nottingham Forest’s fragility at the back was transformed following the arrival of the Serbian centre-back, who helped turn a vulnerable area into one of strength. Milenkovic won a century of aerial duels at the fourth-best success rate (71.9%) in the league and chipped in with five goals to show his set-piece threat.
More importantly, he made those around him better with his no-nonsense penalty box defending perfect for Nuno Espirito Santo’s game plan. For just £12m? A bargain.
Honourable mention: Dean Huijsen (Bournemouth)
Best Game
Everton 2-2 Liverpool, 12th February 2025
Everton said farewell to Goodison Park this season but not before one last derby day to remember. The final Merseyside Derby at the famous old ground was spectacular, with the perfect amount of needle and narrative.
Beto opened the scoring as Everton looked to upset Liverpool’s title charge, only for Alexis Mac Allister’s excellent header and Mohamed Salah’s strike to turn the game around. Liverpool looked likely to leave with bragging rights, until an unlikely hero emerged in James Tarkowski.
The centre-back thundered in a stoppage-time equaliser, with tensions spilling over between the two sets of players and coaches at full-time.
Everton’s new stadium is a world-class facility, but can it create a cauldron quite like Goodison?
