Nottingham Forest will be plying their trade in the UEFA Conference League next season, so they’ll need a much bigger squad to contend with the congested fixture list.
Evangelos Marinakis is planning to invest heavily in Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad, with the hope of making Nottingham Forest a consistent challenger for European spots.
Forest are already eyeing James McAtee, who could replace Morgan Gibbs-White amid links to Manchester City.
Nuno Espirito Santo is also plotting an ambitious move for Bryan Mbeumo, who netted 20 Premier League goals for Brentford this season.
Now, there’s just been a fresh transfer development, with Nottingham Forest expecting to hear back from one of their reported targets.

Nottingham Forest to hear back from Liam Delap ‘imminently’
It’s been widely reported that Nottingham Forest are in the market for a striker this summer transfer window.
Forest have looked at deals for Evanilson and Darwin Nunez, but top of their shortlist is Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap.
Marinakis is desperate to sign Delap after his impressive breakout season in the Premier League, netting 12 times.

They aren’t alone in their interest, however, with Manchester United, Chelsea and Everton also keen on landing his signature.
Now, there has been an update on Delap’s situation, with Ben Jacobs reporting that he will inform suitors of his decision ‘imminently’.
Forest are expected to hear back from the striker before he jets off for the under-21 Euros, which gets underway on the 11th of June.
Liam Delap is expected to decide his future this week before heading off to the Under-21 Euros. He remains Manchester United’s top choice.
Chelsea, Newcastle and Everton have also all held talks.

Forest will need to have a backup target
It’d be some coup if Forest managed to sign Delap, given the number of clubs interested.
There is a sense that Manchester United are leading the race, so City Ground chiefs must have a backup target ready to sign.
It’s understood Brentford’s Yoane Wissa remains on Forest’s radar, though, they will need to meet their £40m valuation to do a deal.
Wissa is much more attainable for the Tricky Trees, with Thomas Frank making it no secret that the Bees are a selling club.
“We control the contracts, but we are a selling club — if the right offer comes in, we have to listen,” Frank told reporters last week.
