Manchester Unitedare sat in their lowest point of the post-Ferguson era after their worst ever Premier League campaign comes to an end.
The Red Devils have finished the season in 15th place with no silverware and no European football for next season having lost the Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur.
Now, United are looking at a squad overhaul this summer, albeit with limited funds.
However, it seems like the squad changes weren’t the only new faces set to be needed at Old Trafford this summer, with Ruben Amorim also in line to be replaced.

The Athletic has reported that tensions began building between Ruben Amorim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe back in February due to Ratcliffe’s hands-on approach often going to far.
The INEOS owner reportedly visited Carrington back in February during the height on United’s injury crisis as Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte and Toby Collyer all picked up injuries in the same training session.
Only a few days later, Amad Diallo joined the group in the treatment room, damaging his ankle ligaments.
The report explains that Ratcliffe was in attendance as Diallo joined the treatment room and had a medical meeting which resulted in Amorim having his methods scrutinised.
It’s understood that Ratcliffe’s idea of being hands-on hasn’t just extended to the extensive cost-cutting measures seen this season, but also has included him inputting to United’s medical and physiotherapy team, explaining “how he stretched before the London Marathon”.
However, Amorim is defiant that he is staying at Old Trafford, either due to tensions between the pair easing, or as a show of strength as being the right man for the job.
