Arsenal are showing interest in a summer move for AC Milan forward Rafael Leao, FootMercato has claimed.
The Gunners’ sporting director, Andrea Berta, reportedly held talks with the Portuguese international about two weeks ago and has earmarked Leao as an option in their winger search.
While he is not considered their ‘top priority’ at the moment, Arsenal are weighing Leao among other potential wide forward targets, including Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams.
The North London club are expected to strengthen Mikel Arteta’s frontline this summer and are believed to have placed winger and striker signings at the top of their agenda.

According to FootMercato, Leao is considering leaving AC Milan this summer and has emerged as a target for several clubs, including Arsenal.
The Portuguese winger, who has a release clause worth £147m, has made just 25 Serie A starts this season and a further nine in the Champions League, scoring 12 goals and providing 13 assists across all competitions.
He was an unused substitute in AC Milan’s 2-0 season finale win over Monza on Saturday, a result that saw the Rossoneri finish eighth in Serie A.
Leao, who joined the Italian giants from Lille in 2019, is under contract at San Siro until June 2028, having signed a five-year extension in 2023.
Arsenal are also expected to welcome Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi as their first summer signing, having reached an agreement in principle over the 26-year-old’s arrival.
The Spanish midfielder is likely to come in as a replacement for Flamengo-bound Jorginho, with the Gunners expected to pay his €60m (£51m) release clause.
