Caoimhin Kelleher’s time at Liverpool is coming to an end, with the 26-year-old goalkeeper expected to leave the club this summer in search of regular first-team football.
Kelleher, who joined the club’s academy in 2015, has impressed as Alisson Becker’s deputy after working his way up, playing a key role in Liverpool’s recent success.
However, winning a spot in the starting XI ahead of the Brazilian is an impossible task, given that Alisson is one of the best keepers in the world.
This has resulted in Kelleher seeking a move away from Liverpool, with the player expressing his desire to leave since last summer.

Caoimhin Kelleher hints at Liverpool exit amid links with Newcastle and Leeds United
Kelleher expressed his desire to leave Liverpool for regular playing time last summer and remains keen on a move away.
Nottingham Forest even made a bid for Kelleher, which Liverpool turned down since new signing Giorgi Mamardashvili was not expected to join until this summer.
But with Mamardashvili now set to join, Kelleher’s future lies away from Liverpool. Newcastle have been linked with Kelleher as they seek a replacement for Nick Pope.
TBR Football have even reported that Newcastle are set to make a move for Kelleher this summer.
Leeds United have also been tipped to sign Kelleher as they look to bolster their squad to prepare for their return to the Premier League.
And Kelleher’s comments on Sunday night during the title celebrations will come as a boost to them in their pursuit, with the goalkeeper admitting that he sees himself as a ‘number one’.
Speaking to Optus Sport after lifting the Premier League trophy, he said: “I feel like I’m a number one and good enough to play week-in, week-out. And that’s what I’m looking to do.”
