Manchester City's Jack Grealish has responded to the win over Fulham after a brutal Pep Guardiola snub.

Manchester City ace Jack Grealish has taken to social media to react to the team's recent triumph over Fulham amid ongoing speculation about his future at the club.

The England star was notably absent from the matchday squad for City's 2-0 victory at Craven Cottage, leading many to speculate that his time at Etihad Stadium might be drawing to a close amid ongoing links with Newcastle United.

However, City manager Pep Guardiola remained ambiguous regarding Grealish's position with the team.

"It was selection," Guardiola told the Manchester Evening News when questioned on Grealish's omission. "The last two months, month and a half, there were five or six players at home every time and this time I decided for these guys. No more than that.

"Of course Jack has to play. He's an unbelievable player that has to play football every three days. It didn't happen this season and last season either.

"He needs to do it - with us or another place. It's a question for Jack, his agent, and the club.

"If he stays it will be fine and he fought like he fought from day one to make a contribution but not today. For example the FA Cup final I rotated and Rico and Macca were not there and Khusanov and Vitor and Echeverri were here so it's the same.

"I tried to move the players like it was there and today it was Jack, no more than that."

The 29 year old, who joined City for a record £100 million, tallied only 715 minutes in Premier League matches this season over 20 games, scoring once and assisting once. He'd make a further 12 appearances across other competitions, securing two more goals and four assists in 806 minutes.

Despite a challenging campaign, Grealish showed his true colours by interacting with social media posts from City goalscorers at Fulham Ilkay Gundogan and Erling Haaland following the triumph against Fulham.

Gundogan posted several pictures, captioning them: "Great result - Champions League football secured! ! ! Thanks for your support in this very challenging season."

Haaland also shared an image captioned with: "Finishing the @premierleague season with a win!".
