There is no other NFL rookie to have drawn attention like Shedeur Sanders this offseason. Sanders continues to be in the limelight for various reasons. The QB already has enough to deal with, and he must focus on having a strong run with the Cleveland Browns.
Sanders has a tough internal battle with his fellow rookie teammate, Dillon Gabriel. On the other hand, Sanders will split time with Joe Flacco and veteran QB Deshaun Watson. The Browns are packed with Quarterbacks, and Sanders is certainly not the main man.
Recently. Shannon Sharpe touched upon Shedeur Sanders’ situation with the Cleveland Browns. Sharpe mentioned how crowded the Browns are when it comes to the number of quarterbacks they have. Sharpe talked about the awkward situation in a recent episode of the “Nightcamp” show.
“So, yes, only one quarterback can play, we understand that. But this isn’t Hunger Games. Sometimes, don’t people try to pit like it’s a Hunger Games, like you could have only one winner. Yes, there’s only going to be one guy that’s going to be able to play at a time, but I’m not trying to sabotage it,”Shannon Sharpe said.
“I’m going to go in there. Hopefully, he can impart some wisdom from Joe Flacco. Flacco’s been at this thing a very long time. Kenny Picket has been in the league for a while, I don’t know if I’m going to get too much from him, but you know, hey, let’s see how it goes. I’m just trying to figure out what it’s supposed to be,”Sharpe continued.

Shedeur Sanders Weighs In On His Relationship With Dillon Gabriel
Shedeur Sanders has spent a reasonable amount of time with his teammate, Dillon Gabriel. Both players were at the team’s rookie minicamp, and they got to know each other. It’s important for Sanders to have a good relationship with Gabriel, and he’s glad that things are going well.
“Everything’s been cool. He’s a cool person. I like how he handles situations, especially just the negative media that’s coming his way. I’m just happy he’s positive; he’s able to handle everything. We’re truly cool,” Shedeur Sanders said.

Both rookies will fight to prove who’s the better player as the 2025 NFL season begins. One thing is clear that Sanders will need to stay ahead of his game, especially against Gabriel to get more playing time. Shedeur Sanders would not want to waste an opportunity and he’s ready to give it his best.
