The party is only just getting started in Liverpool. Several weeks ago they were confirmed as champions, on Sunday they were presented with a trophy and today they'll parade it through the streets of the city.

The Reds have been a class above this season and they enjoyed some stunning scenes as they partied inside Anfield. Now the players will jump on an open top bus and make their way though the centre of Liverpool to celebrate with their fans once more.

This Premier League success has been a long time coming for many on the red half of Merseyside. The Covid lockdown in 2020 meant that supporters couldn't embrace the moment with players, but there's no danger of that this time.

It will be a swansong for the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, who leaves this summer. Arne Slot will also get the chance to experience it for the first time having led the Reds to the title at the first time of asking.

Mirror Football will keep you across the celebrations throughout the day.

Some advice for those travelling in Liverpool

The Strand will be closed northbound from the Upper Parliament Street/Great George Street junction to Leeds Street/Great Howard Street junction from around 4am to 10pm.

The southbound lane will be closed from roughly 12pm to 8pm. Leeds Street City bound will also be closed from 12pm until around 8pm.

Liverpool City Council has strongly advised people do not drive – particularly into the city centre. They have asked fans to either walk and try and view the parade as close to home as possible.

Train stations filling up...

Good luck to any fan travelling to Liverpool for the parade today.

There already pictures and videos of train stations looking absolutely rammed as supporters desperately attempt to hitch a ride to Liverpool.

A video has gone viral of fans swarming Birmingham New Street station, which is completely mobbed and supporters are hardly moving.

Meanwhile, the streets are so packed you can hardly see the pavement - and it doesn't even start for hours!
