Benjamin Sesko RB Leipzig
RB Leipzig
Arsenal are interested in RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and the Gunners are ready to pay more than his release clause in order to seal the transfer quickly, according to Fichajes.
The Spanish outlet is claiming that even though Sesko has an €80 million release clause, Arsenal have already made an offer of €100 million. The North London side seem to have moved away from their other targets and Benjamin Sesko is currently their number one priority.
The two clubs have been in direct talks according to Florian Plettenberg and if the terms of the deal fall into place then RB Leipzig won’t mind offloading the striker.

Why are Arsenal overvaluing Benjamin Sesko?
Initially, Viktor Gyokeres was Arsenal’s main focus but in recent days, the Gunners have realised that it will be very hard for them to sign the centre-forward. Not only is Gyokeres wanted by a series of other clubs but there’s also a chance that he might choose to remain with Sporting for one more season.
In such a scenario, Arsenal do not want to waste their time which is why they are trying to wrap up the Benjamin Sesko transfer as early as possible.
Last year, they failed to sign a top centre-forward because of their hesitation and the lack of a goal-scorer is what cost them the Premier League title race. The fans have been furious with this decision all throughout the season but they won’t be forgiving for two years in a row.
Arsenal will bring in a lot of funds by offloading Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus so spending €100 million on Sesko shouldn’t be a big deal for them.
Is the 21-year-old a €100m striker?
Benjamin Sesko has been a consistent performer over the last four years, first for Salzburg and then for Leipzig. Last season, he scored 18 goals in 42 appearances and this campaign, he’s netted 21 goals and provided 6 assists in 45 matches.
In 2399 minutes of Bundesliga football, the forward has an xG of 12.58 and his 13 league goals have come from just 31 shots on target. Here are some other stats to help understand the centre-forward a little bit better:
Benjamin Sesko Bundesliga Stats 24/25
Games Played 33
Goal Contributions 18
Shots Per Goal 3.85
Expected Assists(xA) 4.5
Key Passes 18
Dribbling Success Rate 55%
There’s no denying that even at the age of 21 Benjamin Sesko is a world-class player but when compared to the likes of Osimhen and Gyokeres, the Slovenian international is still not a complete centre-forward. He has lots of room to improve and right now, his performances just do not justify the €100 million price tag.
However, Arsenal are investing in the future because if Benjamin Sesko can come good then the Gunners would have secured themselves a top striker for the next five to six seasons.
