However, Newcastle boss Eddie Howe says Longstaff will have the final say on his departure. West Ham are open to selling Soucek, who is expected to attract suitors this summer.

Last week, Leeds were heavily linked with a move for Southampton star Mateus Fernandes. The midfielder is said to have a £30million price tag this summer. Crystal Palace are also in the race to sign the 20-year old.

Mateus Fernandes would be a massive

Signing the midfielder ahead of Crystal Palace would be a huge statement. A player choosing to come to Leeds over a club that just won the FA Cup, and qualified for Europe would show how ambitious the West Yorkshire club is.

Fernandes is a dynamic midfielder that would complement the current midfield. He can also play as a number 10, with Leeds already needing an upgrade on Brenden Aaronson.
