Thousands of people have lined Queens Drive to capture a glimpse of the Liverpool FC parade. Photos captured by ECHO photographer Andy Teebay show a sea of red in Allerton as the bus drove past on Monday, May 26.
Neighbours living off the route decorated their houses with flags and banners. Thousands of people were photographed celebrating, waving, and cheering as the players went past.
The parade is now underway and is expected to last between three and five hours, though timings may vary. It began at Allerton Maze and headed north along Queens Drive, following a route similar to the one used in 2019.
The route is set to end at Blundell Street. The parade comes after hundreds of Liverpool fans took over the city centre yesterday evening after the Reds lifted the Premier League trophy. Anfield erupted as Virgil van Dijk lifted the trophy in front of fans.
The streets surrounding Anfield Stadium were packed out with supporters, and today will be no different. It is a weekend that no Liverpool fan will forget in a hurry.
The Liverpool ECHO will be live-blogging the entire parade, capturing every moment as the team tours the city. Reporters and photographers will be stationed along the route, sharing updates, videos, and photos of Liverpool players, fans, and the unforgettable atmosphere.
