The Liverpool FC victory parade is under way with thousands of fans turning the city into a sea of Red. Shortly after the bus passed the Childwall Fiveways pub, the streets erupted with singing and fireworks as the club's unofficial anthem, 'One Kiss', played through the speakers.

Scottish DJ Calvin Harris was announced as a special guest by the club to join the players on the parade route. The official Liverpool X account posted a picture of the DJ in front of the bus with thumbs up.

Sharing the exciting news, Liverpool FC wrote: "This is what you came for. @CalvinHarris ready to go". One fan of the entertainer commented on the post "Let’s go. Vibes are unmatched when Calvin Harris hits the stage!"

Calvin, who collaborated with pop star Dua Lipa on the production of 'One Kiss', played the track to thousands from the back of the bus.

The streets erupted in a roar of cheers, singing and fireworks as the Liverpool FC team danced on top of the open top bus. Fans at either side of the bus danced alongside the players in a brilliant moment of celebration.

In 2022, Calvin was a special guest on the team bus for the victory parade, playing a unique set for its duration. It was a season where Jürgen Klopp's team lifted both the Emirates FA Cup and Carabao Cup at Wembley.

At the time, Calvin told Capital FM: "It was the most unreal experience, I think, in my entire life. Obviously I'm a Liverpool fan, but it [One Kiss] didn't become a football anthem, it became a Liverpool anthem specifically, so that happening was bizarre in itself.

"I got chatting to Andy Robertson and he said, 'If there's anything that you could do, you know we're doing this float sort of thing, maybe you could DJ at Anfield, maybe you could DJ on the buss? I'm like, 'Mate, get me on that bus!' It was probably the biggest gig of my life."

The track was first established as an unofficial anthem when Dua Lipa performed before the 2018 Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid in Kyiv.

Despite initial scepticism of the performance, the 30,000 travelling Liverpool fans sang along with the song. Despite the 3-1 loss, videos of Liverpool fans singing the song have been widely shared on social media.

Speaking to the official Liverpool website almost two years later, the popstar outlined her reaction to seeing the videos being circulated. She said: "One of the highlights of the night was definitely seeing the video of all the Liverpool fans chanting along to One Kiss afterwards."

The 15km (10-mile) parade began at 2.30pm and continues to make its way through the city. The bus will progress through Islington and Leeds Street before meeting thousands waiting patiently on The Strand.

The parade route concludes at Blundell Street. You can keep up to date with all the latest news, updates and information on the Liverpool FC victory parade here.
