With a squad size of thirty players, West Ham’s London rivals, Chelsea are very much open to business post 1st June. During the 2024-2025 season they loaned an incredible 20 players to other clubs, and are likely to continue this trend for the upcoming season.
In the Premier League, a club can have a maximum of two players on loan from other Premier League clubs at any given time, limited to one from the same club.
According to reports, West Ham have been linked to Axel Disasi, Trevoh Chalobah and Tosin Adarabiyo. Chelsea are exploring both loan and permanent transfer options in order to raise funds to help ease potential future PSR concerns.
With West Ham looking to bring in a centre- back it is no surprise that they have been linked to these players. Potters backroom staff previously worked with them during their time at Chelsea, providing useful insight.
Axel Disasi, 27, was on loan at Aston Villa, making just thirteen appearances due to injuries. The French international centre-back is two years into a six year contract at Stamford Bridge having joined from Monaco for £38.5M.
Trevoh Chalobah, 25, is a 6ft 4” centre back with over 71 appearances for the Blues. The former England u-21 international has had multiple loan spells, including at Ipswich Town, Huddersfield, Lorient and more recently Crystal Palace.
Tosin Adaribyo, was linked to West Ham last summer when he was available as a free agent, yet subsequently joined Chelsea on a four year contract. Now aged 27, he has played 22 league games this season, yet is deemed surplus to requirements at the Bridge. His height and physical attributes are areas that West Ham desperately need to help with a defence that conceded 62 goals last season.
